Introduction
Alice Sutcliffe (née possibly Woodhouse) is known for a single publication: her biblical prose treatise and verses entitled Meditations of Man's Mortalitie, or, A Way to True Blessednesse (London, 1634). Its commendatory poems include one by Ben Jonson. No extant manuscripts by her can be recorded.
